  • We may process your Personal Data where you have provided us with consent to do so (for example, for certain online identifiers collected via cookies on our Site).

We use Your Personal data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  • You may be entitled to request to review, update, delete or restrict the processing of your Personal Data, pursuant to applicable laws. Please note that if you request to delete or restrict your Personal Data, your use of the Services may be limited. OVERVIEW OF THE DATA WE PROCESS

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and UK data protection law, we act as the Controller (as defined under the GDPR) of the Personal Data we collect from Visitors, Admin, and Authorized Users, and act as the Processor (as defined under the GDPR) of the Personal Data that we process from Members on behalf of the Organization.

If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, or "CPRA") may apply to you. Please review the "Privacy Information for California Residents" section below to learn more about our privacy practices with respect to the CCPA.

IF YOU OBJECT TO ANY OF THESE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SITE, DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, OR USE THE PLATFORM OR SERVICES IN ANY MANNER.

We collect two types of data: Non-Personal Data and Personal Data (each defined below).

  • Non-Personal Data: Is information that does not and cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual ("Non-Personal Data"). Non-Personal Data may include the type of operating system and type of browser you use, the time and date you access our Service or Platform, and aggregate, statistical and anonymized data.
  • Personal Data: Is information that identifies or is reasonably capable of identifying an individual ("Personal Data"). This includes information such as email address, first and last name and usage data.

Note: If we combine Non-Personal Data with Personal Data, we will treat the combined information as Personal Data.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device.

Information We Collect from Visitors

  • Contact Information: In the event you contact us for customer service, support or any other inquiry (for example, by emailing us or submitting the "Get Started" form on our Site), you will be requested to provide your full name, email address, phone number, organization name and current management system, as well as any other information you choose to include in your message. We will process this information subject to our legitimate interest and use it solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and providing you with the support or information you requested. We may also process the contents of our correspondence with you in order to improve our customer service and in the event we believe it is required in order to provide you with any further assistance.
  • Newsletter or Promotional emails: If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter/emails (including as part of the registration process, if applicable), you will be asked to provide us with your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by contacting us. We use this information, based on your consent, solely in order to provide you with the content that you requested to receive. Also as detailed below, our Site is configured to honor opt-outs including GPC.

Information We Collect from Organizations and Authorized Users (including Admin)

  • Contact Information: In the event an Admin or Authorized User contacts us for support or any other inquiry (for example, via email or through our chat support service), you will be asked to provide your full name, email address, phone number and any other information you choose to provide as part of your correspondence. We will process this information subject to our legitimate interest and use it solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and providing you with the support or information you requested. We may also process the contents of our correspondence with you in order to improve our customer service and to provide further assistance if needed.
  • Registration Information: When you register to create an Account, you will need to provide us with certain information including your name, email address, phone number, your Organization's details, and login credentials (as chosen during the registration process). We will use this information for the purpose of performing our contract with you, provide you with the Services you have requested, and to set up your account (for example, to display the relevant information on your dashboard).
  • We may use your email address and phone number for our legitimate interest to send you service-related notifications (for example, welcome messages, service updates, or invoices) and to verify your identity when you access your Organization's account.
  • Payment Information: When you purchase our Services on behalf of your Organization, you will be required to provide the Organization's payment information (associated with a natural person). In such case, we or our third-party payment processor will process certain information about you, such as your name and payment details (e.g. credit card information). This information will be processed for the purpose of performing our contract with you and will enable you to use our Services and Platform. We use third-party payment processors (currently Stripe and CardPointe) to process payments through the Platform; any such transactions are governed by the processor's own privacy policy (we recommend that you review such policies).
  • Online Identifiers and Technical Data: When you access our Site or Services, we may (either directly or through our third-party service providers) collect your IP address through cookies or similar tracking technologies. We will obtain your consent if required by law (for example, when we collect information via cookies, as further explained below).

Information We Collect from Members

  • Registration Information: In order for Members to access the Platform and edit or create your profile, you will need to register via a link provided by your Organization. We will process your username and password that you provide during the registration process. Note: Upon registration, you will be required to configure your profile visibility settings in the Organization's member directory. You may choose whether your profile will be public (visible to all Members of the Organization – e.g., including your contact details and profile picture) or private. These settings only affect what other Members can see; the Organization (including its Admin and Authorized Users) will always be able to see your full profile. This information will be processed in order to set up your account and enable you to use the Services.
  • Members' Use of the Services: Once registered, you (or your Organization on your behalf) may add or edit information about you on the Platform. Such information can include (and may be updated over time based on the Organization's needs): your name (including first name, last name, Hebrew name, etc.), member ID, membership type (e.g., yearly or monthly), associated family members, email address, phone number, address, occupation, date of birth, gender, profile picture, and any subscriptions or services you are enrolled in via the Platform (for example, schools, preschools, summer camps, etc.). During your use of the Services, you can add and/or create certain events (for example, memorials or Bar/Bat Mitzvah events). In such cases, we will process additional information related to other persons – for example, for a memorial you may provide details about the deceased and his/her family (name, date of memorial, mother's Hebrew name, etc.), and for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah you may provide details about the person celebrating the Bar/Bat Mitzvah (such as name, birth date, parents' names, etc.). By creating an event or uploading Personal Data about any other individual (including a family member or child), you represent and warrant that you have the legal right and authority to provide such Personal Data (including sharing it on the Platform), and that you will comply with all applicable laws regarding such data (including any consent or age-of-majority requirements).
  • Public Information: The Platform enables you to post comments or other information (such as Member birthdays or memorials) that will be visible to other Members of the Organization. Any information you post in this manner will not remain private. We will use this data in order to provide the Services to perform the contract we have with your Organization. However, you understand that such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside.
  • Purchase Information: If you pay membership fees, make a donation, or purchase a service offered by the Organization through the Platform, we (or our third-party payment processors) will collect certain information including your full name, full billing address, email address, phone number, and payment details. We will use this information to allow you to complete the payment for the services or donations via the Platform. (Please refer to the "Payment Information" section above for details on our third-party payment processors.)

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

  • Automatically – We may use cookies (as explained below) or other similar tracking technologies to gather some information automatically when you interact with our Site and Services.
  • Provided by you voluntarily – We collect information that you provide to us willingly – for example, when you contact us, register for the Services, or edit your profile.

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies (collectively, "Cookies")—including tools from Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and HubSpot—to operate our Services, analyze Platform performance, and support our internal marketing efforts. Some of these technologies may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain laws (e.g., CPRA).

Your Choices and Controls:

  • Granular Consent (EU/UK): We do not fire non-essential marketing or analytics cookies unless you provide explicit, affirmative consent via our cookie banner.
  • Right to Opt-Out (US): If you are a resident of a state with applicable privacy laws (such as California), you have the right to opt-out of the "sharing" of your data for advertising. You can exercise this right via our "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): Our Site is configured to recognize and honor GPC signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will automatically treat it as a request to opt-out of all non-essential tracking for that browser session.
  • Direct Controls: You may also manage your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" button in our website footer or by adjusting your browser settings to reject all third-party cookies.

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We may use Personal Data specifically as described above under the "Data Usage" section, and generally for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
  • To manage your account: to manage your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data you provide can give you access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to you as a registered user.
  • To contact you by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as mobile application's push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the Services.
  • To provide you with news, special offers and general information about the Services or other goods, services and events which we offer unless you have opted not to receive such information.
  • To attend and manage your requests to us.

SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell your Personal Data for monetary consideration. We disclose certain identifiers (such as IP addresses and device IDs) to authorized service providers and partners—such as HubSpot and Google—for business purposes, including website analytics and support for our internal marketing. Under certain laws like the CPRA, these activities may be classified as 'sharing' for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt-out of this sharing at any time by using our 'Your Privacy Choices' link or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) on your browser. Otherwise, we will not share your Personal Data with any third parties, except as specifically noted in this Privacy Policy:

  • Members' data – We will share Members' Personal Data with the Organization to which you are related, as part of the Services we provide to that Organization.
  • Compelled Disclosures – To satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena or governmental request or otherwise comply with any legal obligation.
  • Enforcement of our Rights – To enforce this Privacy Policy and the terms of our agreements (including the Terms), including the investigation of potential violations thereof.
  • Security Detections – To detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • Business Transfers and Affiliates – When undergoing any change in control (including by means of a merger, acquisition or purchase of all or substantially all of its assets), or in the event of any of the foregoing with our parent company, any subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control (collectively "Affiliates"), in each case only if and when necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or in connection with a corporate transaction.
  • Service Providers – To collect, hold or manage your Personal Data through our authorized third-party service providers (for example, cloud storage services, payment processors, marketing partners, etc.), who perform services on our behalf and under our instructions, and who are contractually obligated to comply with applicable data protection laws.
  • With Consent – If you explicitly approve the disclosure of your information prior to the sharing.

Email Marketing

We may use your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting Us.

We may delete or amend information in our systems when it is no longer needed, at our discretion and without notice. Except where otherwise required by law, we have no obligation to retain your Personal Data for any particular length of time, and we may delete it at any time without prior notice. Personal data of children under 13 is retained only for the duration of the Member's active enrollment with an Organization and will be securely deleted or anonymized within 30 days of a verified deletion request or when the specific business purpose for collection is fulfilled and it is not required anymore to provide the services requested.

SECURITY

We employ physical, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, and other forms of misuse. However, no security measure is completely foolproof, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection of Personal Data. Any transmission of data is at your own risk, and we cannot promise that our Services or databases will be immune from any wrongdoings, malfunctions, unauthorized interceptions or access, malware attacks or other kinds of malicious activity or misuse.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our Platform and Services may contain links to third-party websites that are not governed by this Privacy Policy. If you click on such a link, you will be directed to that third party's site. The privacy practices of other sites are governed by their own policies, which may differ from ours. We are not responsible for the content, products, services or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

DATA TRANSFER

Personal Data is processed by and disclosed to our primary infrastructure provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use AWS cloud storage servers located in the US, and some of our processing activities are conducted in Israel. In the event that we need to transfer Users' Personal Data out of your jurisdiction, we will take appropriate measures to ensure that your Personal Data receives an adequate level of protection as required under applicable law. This means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

CHILDREN

Our Services are not directed or intended for children under 16 years of age (or other equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or store Personal Data directly from children. Organizations and Members must ensure that no Personal Data relating to children under the applicable minimum age is uploaded to the Platform, unless a parent or guardian is providing information about their own child. If a Member does provide Personal Data about a child, that Member represents and warrants that they have the legal authority to do so and that they will comply with all applicable laws regarding such Personal Data of minors. In accordance with 16 CFR § 312.5, the Organization must obtain separate verifiable parental consent for the disclosure of a minor's personal data to Easyshul, distinct from the consent for the Organization's own collection and use of such data. In addition, pursuant to CCPA/CPRA, any personal information collected from a known minor under the age of 16 is treated as Sensitive Personal Information. We honor the right to limit the use of such information to only those purposes strictly necessary to perform the Services. We do not sell or share Personal Data about minors for any commercial purpose. Any data regarding minors provided by parents or Organizations is shared only with service providers strictly as necessary to support the internal operations of the Platform (such as hosting, security, and program management), as permitted by COPPA.

USER RIGHTS

Rights Under GDPR (European Economic Area)

If you are located in the European Economic Area ("EEA") or the United Kingdom, you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR and UK GDPR.

Subject to legal limitations, these rights may include:

  • Right of Access – to request confirmation of whether we process your Personal Data and obtain a copy of such data.
  • Right to Rectification – to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
  • Right to Erasure – to request deletion of your Personal Data where processing is no longer necessary or lawful.
  • Right to Restrict Processing – to request limitation of how we use your Personal Data in certain circumstances.

Easyshul generally acts as a Processor of Members' Personal Data on behalf of the Organization. If you are a Member, requests relating to your Personal Data should be directed to your Organization, which is the Controller of your data. Easyshul will assist Organizations in responding to valid requests as required by applicable law.

If you are an Organization representative or a Visitor, you may submit a request directly to Easyshul by contacting us at: privacy@easyshul.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe your Personal Data has been processed in violation of applicable law.

Privacy Information For California Residents

In this section, we provide information for California residents as required under California privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), which requires that we provide California residents certain specific information about how we handle their personal information (whether collected online or offline). Under the CCPA, "personal information" is any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked (directly or indirectly) with a particular California resident or household. It does not include "publicly available" data as defined by the CCPA.

CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT, DISCLOSE, AND SELL. We have set out above the categories of personal information (as defined by the CCPA) that we collect. Subject to the section "Sharing Data With Third Parties", and except as described in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for business purposes. We may disclose each of these categories of personal information to our Service providers, who are not permitted to use your personal information except as necessary to perform Services on our behalf. We collect these categories of personal information from the sources and for the purposes described above under "Overview of the Data We Process." Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information about a California resident will vary depending upon the circumstances and nature of our interactions or relationship with such resident. (Please note that the CCPA defines the term "sell" very broadly to include any exchange of data for consideration of any kind, not just selling your data for monetary compensation.) We also do not use or disclose "sensitive" personal information except as necessary to provide our Services or otherwise permitted by law.

CALIFORNIA CONSUMER RIGHTS. California law grants consumers certain rights and imposes restrictions on specific business practices. These rights include:

  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing of Personal Information ("Do Not Sell/Share") – California residents have the right to opt out of our sale and/or sharing of their personal information. We recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Where required by applicable law, we treat such signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Easyshul does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We use cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and service provider tools, solely to operate, secure, and improve the Services. To the extent any such processing is considered 'selling or sharing' under California law, Easyshul will honor GPC signals in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Requests for Copy, Deletion, and Right to Know – Subject to certain exceptions, California consumers have the right to make the following requests, at no charge, up to twice in a 12-month period. Please see "Submitting Requests" below for how to exercise these rights:
    • Deletion: the right to request deletion of personal information that we have collected about you, subject to certain exemptions.
    • Correction: the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
    • Copy: the right to request a copy of the specific pieces of personal information that we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
    • Right to Know (Collection): where we have collected personal information about you, the right to request that we disclose to you the categories of personal information collected, the categories of sources of such information, the business or commercial purposes for collecting or sharing your personal information, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared your personal information.
    • Right to Know (Disclosure and Sale): where we have sold or disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, the right to request that we disclose to you the categories of personal information sold or shared, the categories of third parties to whom your personal information was sold or shared, and the categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose in the prior 12 months.

Submitting Requests. You may exercise your California consumer rights by submitting a request to privacy@easyshul.com. Once we receive your request, we will take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling the request. To do so, we will attempt to match the information you provide in your request with information we have on file. As part of this process, we may ask you to provide additional information or to log into your account (if applicable). We will not fulfill your request unless you have provided sufficient information for us to reasonably verify you are the consumer about whom we collected personal information. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to respond to your request within 45 days. If we require more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will notify you of the reason and extension period.

INCENTIVES AND NON-DISCRIMINATION. The CCPA prohibits businesses from discriminating against California consumers for exercising their rights under the CCPA. It also imposes requirements on any financial incentives offered to California consumers related to their personal information. If a California consumer exercises their rights under the CCPA, we will not discriminate against them (for example, by denying services, charging different prices or rates, or providing a different level or quality of services). We do not offer financial incentives to consumers that are tied to the sale of personal information.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request under CCPA and as an expression of Your objection to processing under GDPR.

What is GPC? Global Privacy Control is a browser-based signal that automatically communicates Your privacy preferences to websites You visit. When enabled, it tells websites that You do not want Your data sold or shared with third parties.

How We respond to GPC: When We detect that Your browser has GPC enabled, We automatically:

  • Disable all analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
  • Disable all marketing cookies (HubSpot)
  • Only use essential cookies necessary for the website to function
  • Skip displaying the cookie consent banner (since Your preference is already known)

Enabling GPC: You can enable GPC in Your browser settings or by using a browser extension. Popular browsers and extensions that support GPC include:

  • Firefox (built-in support in privacy settings)
  • Brave Browser (enabled by default)
  • DuckDuckGo Browser and Extension
  • Privacy Badger Extension
